exhaust flames dangerous??
#53
i think it can be dangerous cause i was shooting flames 20-30 times in a day and after 5.5k miles my engine's back rotor wasn't compressing i ordered a new engine with my 6 month savings

According to Borla's Website, it's 3'' piping so I say go with Agency Power, Turbo XS (What I have), or B&B. There's others out there but in my opinion, these are almost all the same. By the way, AP and TruboXS has a resonator built into it, this makes it a bit quieter but still shoots out flames.

pretty much all of them do, since almost all midpipes hook up to the stock exhaust, and almost all catbacks are designed to hook up to the stock B pipe.
I think the turboXS is the only one that doesn't hook up to anything besides the turboXS catback.
also, don't buy an exhaust just based off what someone says on the forum. Make sure to listen to sound clips (which while subjective, given enough clips, you'll get a good idea what it sounds like).

also, you're kidding about going with the AP instead of B&B, right? You realize a catless midpipe is just a PIPE. They're all the same length, same bends, and will result with the same sound.

without a turbo, ANY catless midpipe on just about any aftermarket catback will sound rice.

resonator is an option you can add to anything. It doesn't change that the catless midpipe is just a hollow tube.
my b&b has a resonator. borla still sounds like rice without a turbo on it

EDIT: Yeah, the sound of my exhaust also sounds rice but at the same time it sounds very rotary

I see, but in theory, wouldn't a different size resonator on either midpipe would make it sound different? Lets say if you compare one with a shorter resonator on a straight and another with a longer resonator on another straight pipe, it should produce a different tone, right?

Even with the catless midpipe and OEM catback, it still sounds ricey to me. It sounds like I have a fart can on my car. You know those civics with those fart cans that sounds really raspy? That's how mine sounds like....
I'll post up a video of it later on today, I can't remember where I left my camera. It should also help O.P. on his decision to get a catless midpipe.
