Exhaust System Welds

Exhaust System Welds
The Issue:
I have a pin hole leak in the flange weld on my resonated midpipe. Searching for how to repair. I assume that I can just touch the hole with my little harbor freight welder and that will take care of the problem. What I do not know is how the materials work. The rest of the exhaust seems to be stainless steel. The flange looks like regular steel. I have no idea what process is used to weld stainless to regular steel, or if that is the issue.
Thoughts?

Thanks.
I am a half @$$ welder. and, would be welding the weld, which I hope is thicker... The hole looks like it is at the join where they started and finished. It really amazes me how much air comes out of that hole.
Thanks for the input, next step is that I got to grade my welding ability and see how close to "decent" I can get.

Update,
Was not a pinhole. That was easy to fix. Was a huge freaking crack where the pipe went into the resonator.
Thanks logalinipoo, I hit the muffler shop, $20 later is welded up, and I got an earfull on Borla exhausts. Seems the ones he spends most of his time welding are Borla, and it is because the material is thin. My mid-pipe is a franken system, but I think this weld was factory, it was far to neat for the rest of the system.
Again, thanks,
