Greetings, having a problem installing my exhaust shrouds. I have no real room to play with to pick the exhaust up, but I think I'm about an inch too low. I'm using the OEM hangers, and Greddy CS exhaust, as pictured here. I'm not sure what to do here, was thinking I could possibly get the exhaust "finishers" but with where it's sitting, they would be pressed up against the steel, which would rattle and be annoying, so that really wouldn't work either. Should I try to find shorter hangars than the OEM?
I think you have a series 2 cat back. The usual trick with a series 1 cat on a series 2 is to stretch the rubber exhaust hangers. When I had installed my new series 2 cat back, but didn’t replace the hangers… it looked exactly like this.
before going too crazy, I’d email racing beat or call them. See if they can give you the measurements of the series 1 and 2 cat backs in regards to the hanger length on the cat back itself. This info might actually be in this forum. These aftermarket cat back systems. Especially Greddy fit like a glove when it’s paired to the correct series rx8.

Gotcha, now that you mention it I think you're 100% correct on that. At least I'm not going crazy, there is a good reason it's not sitting high enough. I may just take it to a reputable exhaust shop and have them put shorter hangars on either the car or the exhaust to get it picked up properly.
