fan will not cut off after shutting car off?

Yeah, for anyone like myself running a race battery, I usually have to babysit the car after a hot shut down. I'll let it idle for a couple minutes to stabilize the temps and then shut it down. When the temps drop below 200 degrees I'll power on the car, make sure my fan switch is off and then shut the car down. This forces the fan to stop.
I've let the fans run and came back to a dead car. Thankfully my protection switch tripped so it didn't allow the car to totally drain the battery.

I have the Flex a lite 420 fan setup and I am turbocharged and I have to really be beating on it in 100+F weather to get it above 215F. FAL also sells the 490 setup which flows even more. I do have a dual pass aluminum radiator as well. The FAL setups has been working well in my car for several years, you just cut the connectors off and wire it in like stock.
