Last week I had the opportunity to buy a 2005 Titanium Grey,MT GT with black leather interior. It has 39 K original miles, always garaged and only a weekend driver. It still smells new.AND the passenger dash is perfect-so far!All and any service records are with it.The only thing apparent are flat spots on the tires with a vibration over 40 mph.Any members with any suggestions to work out these flat spots from sitting for 6 years are much appreciated. Also any suggestions on first mods besides a cooling fan mod or an AFE short shifter will be much appreciated.Cheers

Refresh the ignition coils. Otherwise you don't really need mods, unless you're aiming for track time?

Thanks,No track time.I did get a set of Globally compliant coils with 8.5 mm MSD wires from BHR but haven’t put them on yet. Thanks Loki
I finally got around to an ignition update in between rain. Plugs,BHR globally compliant coils 8.5 mm red MSD wires(thanks Charles) 4 new tires with balance and alignment.I also cleaned the throttle body. Now the rain can stop.Next is a SOHN metering kit.

You'll want to replace those tires. If they sat 6 years i wouldn't expect them to get much better.

This is the route i took on my car after purchasing last year: midpipe, bhr coils, ngk wires + plugs, tein flex z + sporty alignment, ES control arm bushings + alignment specs from flying Miata.

I got it from Lakewood NJ last year - It was my first time seeing one in person as well. 😁
Loving the Bhr coils. They're worth the extra one time cost since the consequences of failure could be catastrophic. Also in the long run you save money, time, and headaches. Compared to the old Mazda revC coils that were on the car, which i thought were fine, bhr coils made a noticeable difference in idle 'strength' and seemingly a little more umph throughout the revs. I'm sure you'll love them as well, install it!
Note - if you plan to premix, Trex site has decent pricing on the idenmitsu 👍🏼

I chose to push back the cooling fan mod, as i plan to get Mazdaedit and trigger from software side.

Nice, a good alignment spec and tires will make a world of difference. Enjoy!
