Flooding question

I know there are other threads on this, but none of them directly address the question I have really.

I am new to a manual transmission and I am more than likely buying a manual RX8. Now, my understanding is that flooding only occurs when the car is not warmed up correctly. If I warm it up (let it idle and rev it up to 6500 RPM) until the temperature gets warm enough.. I should not have a flooding issue. Now, let's say it stalls out while I'm driving it.... and then I crank it back up.. can I expect flooding even after I've warmed up the car? Does performing a second shutdown of 4000 RPM cleanse the injectors enough to where it won't flood the NEXT time I start it? Thanks for any help/advice.

You should not rev a cold engine to 6,500.

Flooding ‘CAN ‘ occur when you SHUT DOWN a cold engine and forget to do the cold engine shutdown procedure (4,000 RPM thing). If the engine is warm and you stall it should start right back up. Even on very cold days I do not let the car idle more than a minute. It only takes a few minutes of normal driving to warm up a RX-8.

I have stalled mine out before, and it started no problems. I let my father drive it and he stalled it out two times in a row (Cold) and it started.

If this will be a new car, it will have the upgraded battery, starter motor and spark plugs. Even if you stall it cold, it should start back up. And even if it does flood, the improved starting components make recovery from a flooding almost a sure thing.
