^Agreed! Had a 40 series on mine when I first bought it...lasted bout 6 months before all the baffles melted out of it. Flowmaster even says not to use their mufflers on a rotary application because they can't hold up to the heat of a rotary engine.

Most if not all of these "off the shelf" Mufflers will melt when use on Rotary Application. Cuz most of them use "cheaper" Fiberglass stuff in them.

Your best bet is to go get some name brand CAT back systems.

Yeah, and there is only one available from a company who was smart enough to design around the idea of longevity as well as tone and flow. They also have a forthcoming cat-back designed around the same principles.

I had a 50 series flowmaster which is thicker walled than a 40 series on my RX-7 TII for ~4 years. It didn't melt. The turbo obviously reduces the heat soak heat, but it didn't have a cat so I imagine the temps weren't completely different.

Racing Beat builds incredible exhausts. Just buy theirs.

Prototype is being street/track tested now. We just don't have a definitive release date yet. Patience. It won't be long.

Sick! Will it work with a B&B midpipe?
