Mazsport Fuel injector Info

While it has not yet been proved by a failure and I ran the 780s for several weeks, you should not run low impedance injectors on the stock pcm as it likely does not have drivers to run low impedance injectors (the int-x does.) Again, while I dont know of any failures, running low impedance injectors on Honduhs has fried boards in the past.

If you followed Scott's suggestion on where to put the injectors, you may want to consider switching the larger injectors to bank two. (As you will be pulling the 780s.) You can get 650s from Fluid Motorsports. Make sure they are machined correctly. (The ones you got from scott had machined collars. )

Thank you so much, carbonRX8! This information was a great help to me. I would like to know which injectors that I have, Is there any easy way for me to check the impedance on all the fuel injectors to make sure that they are High Impedance? For example, use an ohm meter on the relay contacts in the fuse box for example? or probe a certain wire on the PCM Connector? What ohm level am I looking for?

My fuel Injector Impedances

Ok, I might have answered my own question...

If someone could look at the chart below and tell me what fuel injectors I may be running, that would be helpful. I have measured my resistances on my fuel injectors.

I think that I have High impedance Fuel injectors in:
Front Primary 1
Rear Primary 1
Front Primary 2
Rear Primary 2

and I think I have low impedance Injectors in:
Front Secondary
Rear Secondary

Could someone comment on this setup and let me know what fuel injectors I may have, as well as if this setup will work with the Cobb Access port?

Thanks!

PS. Note in the picture below that there is a shot of my relay box. In the Electrical wiring diagram for this car, one wire of the fuel injector was connected to the PCM Wiring harness and the other wire was indicated to be connected to "B+"

524cc/min at 4 bar

Resistance: 11.8-16.5 Ohms

Voltage: 8-15 Volts, Nominal 13.5 Volts

Amperage: 1.0 Amps

Pressure: Min. 36 PSI (2.5 bar), Max. 101 PSI (7 bar)

You have been talking a lot lately about stuff that kinda implies you are doing a turbo setup . Where is your build thread ?

I research a lot of different things, doesn't necessarily mean I am building anything in particular, though that could be a plan in another year or two

That is significantly different than the data I've collected from three independent testing sources, all of which are well known vendors, including the OE, Denso.

/\ FWIW Injector Dynamics gave me the figure of 495cc s @ 390Kpa(OEM fuel pressure) for the yellows and 405cc for the reds.

they are a bit high compared to my own, but the OE /Denso data is just as far off in the opposite direction IMO as previously eluded to in a prior post

I think several factors are at work there since testing methods are actually not standardized.
Different systems utilize different dead times, max duty cycle, nominal voltage and even a different testing solvent.

All that matters to me is what lines up with the scalar values in the software and the OE numbers do that best.

Primary (located in houseing) N3R113250
Secondary (located in LIM) N3R213250

This is what i currently run . It does work , but there is some tuning you need to do to combat the hole in transition . Possibly not ideal for your tuner .

MM recommended earlier that yellow p1 , blue sec and yellow p2s would work better . I have not tried it .

Uh, whut?

Sec and P2 should be the same injector. That is what I "recommend".

What I "recommend" is series II green injectors in the primary and up-flowed, matched blues in the secondary and P2 positions.

a little loosely .

The RX8 is port fuel injected... Are the fuel injectors right before the opening to the combustion chamber?

In otherwords, are the fuel injectors after all of the SDAIS portion of the intake? Meaning if one puts Seafoam/BG44k into the gas tank, none of that stuff even remotely touches any of the SSV/VDI/APV ports?

Wrong part number.

The series-II primaries (green) are N3R1-13-250.
The series II secondaries (purple) are N3R2-13-250.

Yes that was my mistake. I think I copy pasted someone else and I didn't correct it.

Might have been me or Ash.
Either way, I had to look it up, anyway.
