Gas Cap causing check engine light
Twice I have had the check engine light come on and both times my gas cap had come loose. This morning I tried several times to get it tight but it will just not lock in place very tight, guess we're headed to the dealer to have him check it out.
Anyone else had this problem?

Some people here a while back had a problem with a CEL due to a loose gas cap, but were able to tighten it and make the problem go away. If you tighten yours until it clicks, and it continues to loosen itself, then I'd definitely take it in to the dealership.

actually many of the early "cel light for gas caps" werefrom a software glitch. this was corrected. if you have at least L you should not be getting a false leak detection. so yes you should definetly take it in and have them pull the codes and check for leaks.
