That looks like a simple rubber line bent to fit. shouldnt take more than taking it off and going to a reputable auto parts store and getting one of the same diameter & length. should be an easy fix that i would think someone that has been working on cars and boats his entire life would recoginize and have done in 5 minutes.

Your asking for trouble if you DIY and it catches fire...

Well I can see you have not looked at your rx8 fuel line or you would know what you are talking about. the fuel line is a plastic tube with rubber covering it.
Have you been to your local auto part's store I highly doubt they stock much RX8 replacement parts being that the cars are pretty new yet alone a Stock fit fuel line.
It was a easy fix and under 5 Minutes I bought some fuel injected fuel hose and splice into the line and used 2 fuel injected hose clamps and yes it makes a difference from regular Fuel hose and clamps because fuel injected has higher pressure.
I wanted to know what it was called so i could replace it with a stock one i was trying to find one on the net or was going to ask the dealer but wanted to know if it had a specific name

My wife reminded me that we still have warranty on the car I forgot Mazda extended the Warranty.
Now my next question is I cut the fuel line to fix it so I could drive it home.
Will my warranty still cover it. There is a picture below Of how i fixed It to get home.
It was leaking bad before i fixed it now it does not leak at all.
Thanks

I found it because I've read the parts maunal b4 (like 5-6 times)
I remember there was a page just for fuel lines. then I start reading it again.
Im not *100%* sure if its the right page but I think Im close.
ITs OEM Catalog so its not listed on onlinemazdaparts site, but you can search for the direct part number and it will show up. and as always you can leave BAGMAN1 a PM and see if its the right part.

Why not? It failed, and he cut it to make an emergency repair to get the car going.
I once owned a 1980 VW Rabbit that had a problem with the fuel pump wiring. The connector at the fuse panel was too small to handle the current. After cleaning it a few times (including once in the rain in the middle of Ohio) I shoved a piece of brass tubing through the fuse panel and soldered the connections on each side.
VW eventually had a TSB and recall on the problem. They replaced the fuse panel, no charge. It was fun seeing the look on the tech's face.
