For a man. trans. there is a drain plug at the bottom and a fill plug 1/2 way up the g/box. You can fill it more easily via the hole for the gear shift stick .

Lucus UCL + Castrol Power RS TTS 2stroke

This is my first time pre mixing, i've read the first couple of pages of this thread XD (long thread). From the recommendations of many, i bought Lucus UCL and a full synthetic 2stroke oil (castrol power rs tts, found this at a local cycle shop). 50-50 mix of both, used a empty laundry detergent bottle and a small gas cleaner bottle (6oz), dumped a quart of each mix. Filled that small gas cleaner bottle and poured it in the gas tank. And i gotta say, the engine definitely idles alot better, shifting seems smoother than before. oh prior before premixing, i also did an oil change and used castrol 20w-50, probably helped as well. I remember my shift **** wobbling like crazy on a stop, now its more subtle. It feels like i'm driving a new rx8 off the assembly line. I'm very happy with the result, not sure about fuel economy but from what i was reading hopefully its better than my 14mpg prior pre mixing. I thought i'd just share my little experience, hopefully it helps someone here who'd like to premix. heres some photos of my mach-up. oh and these bottles fit perfectly behind the back seat's center compartment :D.

If you would rather not clog your fuel filter - ditch the UCL and just use the Castrol .

will UCL clog up the fuel filter with a pre mix? how so? XD i've read the first 15 pages most people recommended UCL + full synthetic 2stroke oil. Please enlighten me XD, i rather not damage my car over time. I do regularly change out oil/filter every 3k, how long will my filter last with the premix i'm doing (UCL+castrol rs tts)?

There is no definite data on this and looks can be deceiving but I used UCL (still am until my supply runs out) and my fuel pump sock "looked" pretty bad. But I must also say that even though it looked bad, the pump was functioning properly as far as I know.

The good news is, now you know the filter was functional and did its job to keep all that shat from getting through.

Whenever I've see clogged fuel filters get mentioned around here we find they used one or or other of :
Lucas UCL
premix mixed with a cleaner of some sort

never heard of anyone clogging a filter while using straight 2 stroke premix - on it's own .

Coincidence ?

Premixing with Idemitsu for 18 641 miles and I took my fuel pump out in order to see the condition of the filter

This is the condition of my filter with only 18.641miles of very light premixing with Idemitsu. I was adding 200-300ml per fuel tank.

A technician told me that those black substance is not premix but it is fuel dirt that sometimes go from the bottom of the gas station tank to our car fuel tanks. I guess that only chemical analysis can prove if this black substance is dirt or premix.

However, my fuel pump was working properly with no issues at all even if it was empty or full with fuel.

rotaryPilot your filter looks in good working conditions

Our premix ratio is pretty inconsistent, even with 300ml over 60litres!
I have always got a spare fuel filter sock just in case, but that's just because i want to remove the OMP sooner or later
