I was gonna call you out too OD... i remember you saying you used this combo yourself...
i just got the latest flash on my 05mt. it seems to be running real smooth but i also switched my oil to rp 5w30 the day after i got the flash & plugs. so, my car just feels like a brand new machine right now... anyways, i just wanted to make sure that premixing after the flash was still ok at these ratios...

Cool Ratios....

I'm using about 200ml of each, so about a 250:1 ratio @, if the tank is empty at fillup. You're right, the synthetic two stroke is probably no longer needed, but I have a lot left!

Lately started experiments with a lubricity additive - ongoing.

List of Premix(s)

I think it will be a great idea to list all the "known" premix thats good for Rotary to use. Since I cant find any thread like this. I guess Im just going to start one.

Its going to help alot of premix new comers to find what products are available to them. From what I've read, any 2-cycle oil should be OK, but I want to hear from actual user input, before I list it up right here.

We appreciate your actual input, so please, come on in and post your results !

Premix that's known to WORK :

Idemitsu Racing Rotary Fuel Lube (Premix) - Synthetic Blend

Well known Oil company for Rotary engine, this is a "speical" blend Premix for Rotary engine.
User list : NYCGPS - Comments - Best Rotary premix so far, maybe due to the fact that they created this thing specially for rotary ?(or marketing hype), this thing has a clear color. expo1

CASTROL SUPER 2 STROKE

Everyone should know whos Castrol. No need to explain.
Update : Pictures of the Actual product.
User list : NYCGPS - Comments - my second brand of premix, its NOT AS GOOD as Pennzoil IMO, but it alright. OMCWankel

Pennzoil Marine Full Synthetic 2-Cycle oil

Pennzoil, I think someone used this before but I cant find that post anymore. Their web site *sounds* pretty good. heh. Also note that I will not post QuakerState because they're all under Shell. and I read it somewhere that they both actually some kind of "re-brand" oil. Correct me if Im wrong here.
User List : NYCGPS - Comments - This is my first premix, I notice smoother idle, mpg about the same.
Link to QuakerState 2 Cycle Oil page

Other 2-cycle oil that I found online, but I just cant find any actual user results yet
(I search for results on this site ONLY, I dont have the time to search the whole internet!).
I will update this list as soon as, any of guys post the actual results. Like how many tanks of gas you ran with the premix, whats the ratio, etc.

Mobil 1 Racing 2T
Mobil, You can see them everywhere. Yes they have 2-cycle oil as well.
Rotary's Actual result - Unknown

Amsoil
The First(? not sure) Synthentic Oil. They have a bunch of 2 cycle Oil on their site Im not sure which one is good. Guide me to the Light ! (and people who use this list)
Update : Someone said the Saber one.

Havoline Two-Cycle Engine Oil TC-W3
The name is ALMOST the same as the above, I dunno why, might be the same thing just a rebrand, or one of them cant come up with a better name or something. Who knows.

Castrol ACT-Evo 2 Stroke
Another Castrol that I found, Not sure if it works or not, Premix ratio unknown.

Valvoline 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil
Valvoline, Is it the same as Havoline ?!?!?!?!?! Let me know if it is. The name is simple enough to let people know that this is a 2-stroke motor oil.

Royal Purple 2-Cycle TCW III
Royal Purple, famous for their "purple-ish" and Dyno proven Engine Oil. someone post about it somewhere but I cant find it now.
Update : According to StealthTLThis is one of the oil that you DONT WANT to use. Please read Here
UPDATE2 : http://www.royalpurple.com/techa/faqsa.html#re2
Sorry I miss this part, it seems that RoyalPurple talked about their 2 cycle oil in Rotary as well. Take a look (Special thanks to Cam)

Reminder : I will put the oil to the top of the list ONLY if someone actually tried it for a certain period of time.

More follow !

*Note* This is just a list of ALL premix found online. Use at your own risk. Im not responsible for anything, including your 8, engine, your life, or your warranty.

as stated by many of the gurus here, it wouldn't hurt to continue to premix even after the latest flash. i myself will be using 3.5oz of amsoil saber pro per fillup along w/ an additional 3.5oz of Lucas UCL. so, basically 7oz of a 50/50 mix of the two... the amsoil comes out to being approx a 600:1 ratio. the lucas site mentions to use 2-3oz per 10gal of gas. so, i did the math & 3.5oz is perfect to use every fillup. i'm gonna try this out & post on results...
thanks guys.

i have used any 2 stroke syn as pre mix this covers 15 bucks a qt belray to 99 cents a pint for mobil 1...

and a lot in between... i think for what we are using it for is more important than what it is...

just do it..

and less is more.

I read some rx-7 owners using quicksilver. So I bought a gallon of it at sams club. $15.

http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=185119

I haven't used any yet - I'm still using the premix I bought from pettit.

just make sure that it is not a castor based pre mix.
I use maxima K-2 my yamaha dealer friend uses for racing--exspensive but he swears by it.

oh just to keep the record straight i mix a blend actually, i use the maxima K-2 plus lucus ucl/injector cleaner at a 50/50 ratio then add that to the gas at a 1/2 oz per gallon. I will be in the process of reevaluating after the T flash.

I use Idemitsu. No real difference noticed in smoothness or power, but it seems like my gas mileage goes up by about 1 mpg or more.

Lucas Oil

Semi-Synthetic 2-Cycle High Temp Racing Oil

The spec sheet states it meets JASO FC, which per StealthTL is sufficient.

I'd like more clarifaction (from StealthTL is possible) as to why he does not recommend the Royal Purple TCW III. Per Royal Purple's website they recommend the TCW III for Rotary premix applications.

Both systems seems to coexist well. I am now about 15 tanks into the world of Pre-Mix and all is still well. I did a track weekend recently and the OEM system was adding the extra oil high RPM driving needs with no issues.

I have used redline 2 cycle kart oil with about 120:1 (1bottle=473ml, mixed with full tank gas) for about 10000miles. I have no problems so far

Many discussions about premix for rotaries, people recommend looking specifically for TWC3.

I just use Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube, or in a pinch, I have also used Marvels Mystery Oil. I prefer the Lucas UCL, but it's hard to not notice the $6+ difference in price for the same amount and they both claim to do the same thing.

Rather than Search 1000000000 threads about it. :-)
