I haven't said anything difficult. If you have reason to dismiss Idemitsu's claim, please ...

I have my own reasons to dismiss it, I prefer to use something with the certification.

My reason is that the spec are not that great when compared to other oils that have been certified so why use it?

There are also claims that it was used in the Le Mans car and that's is just not a fact. All I can find is that Idemitsu's engine oil technology was used to develope the premix.

Which spec is it that you don't like? So what premix was used in the Le Mans 4-rotor? What were the specs of the Le Mans premix? Come on, give us the facts!

I don't "not like' the specs, but for example, the pennzoil marine had a better viscosity and a lower flashpoint. And supposedly a lower flashpoint is better but that too has been debated

I don't know, I read the articel from 1992 that Idemitsu did but they only talk about engine oil. I have searched everywhere I can think of and there is nothing I can find that says what/if premix was used.

Aha, so when you said "it's just not a fact," what you really meant was that you have no friggin' idea. Got it.

Bottom line all the the premixes should be named MO. Only evidence for rotary are certifications, anecdotal evidence and some views or opinions from the experts.

Sounds as if proving or disproving god's existence is easier.

Agreed. Just use what you think/feel is good and be happy. Then, when your engine dies, know you were wrong and try again

I am starting to think that our cleaners "are a hoot". I have 6 spark plugs with carbon on them - two of them only 4,000 miles old. So far i have soaked them in FP Plus, Seafoam, MMO and Lucas UCI to no apparent benefit. After they soak I brush them with a toothbrush. Nada.

So now i am taking one that has 11,000 miles on it and i will soak it over night. I don't want to do that with my better plugs because I don't know what it would do to the irridium. But, if the soaking I have done so far doesn't help, i am skeptical of the benefits in my gas besides diluting the Saber Pro I am premixing with.

Yeah I sure wish we could see the inside of a well maintained Renny that ran premix from day one.
