Grinding when starting
Just thought I would see what people thought the problem might be.....So I was going to make a u-turn and my foot slipped off the gas and the engine stalled. When I went to go turn the starter there was what sounded like a grinding instead of the normal starter sound. I went ahead and turned the key all the way back and then re-engaged the starter and it started fine. At first I thought it might have been the transmission, but it was fully in 1st gear. What do you guys think could be up? Thanks.

Sounds like your engine was still turning over and, therefore, the flywheel was still turning when you ran the starter motor. There are teeth on the flywheel and a gear on the starter motor that mesh when the flywheel is stationary and you activate the starter motor. If the flywheel is turning when you apply the starter, you will definite hear a grinding sound which is the starter gear spinning against the rotating flywheel.
