Headlight issues?

whenever i drive in the dark i keep noticing that my left headlamp seems to get lower and lower every time i drive it. i took it to the dealer and he re-alligned both headlights and i asked him what the problem was and he said he wasnt sure. then i went to ask them how i would go about changing my headlights to HiD Xenon's, they also said they werent sure about that (incompetent dealers). What do i do?? i havent noticed the left side dropping yet so hopefully it's ok. I have an '04 with stock halogens, where should i get the xenons and what kind of bulbs/kits do i get??

I believe you'd need to go to a junk yard and get the whole thing. Usually the reflectors and all between HID and halogens are totally different. Also the RX-8 HID's are auto leveling / adjusting so you'll prob need the suspension sensors, and ECU / whatever else. Also for US spec cars the left side head light is SUPPOSED to dip lower than the right hand side.

hhmm, so im guessing i cant just get the bulbs and a ballast... where would i get all of that? im looking for the absolute minimum requirements to fit xenons into my car haha. and wow, i didnt know that the left side is supposed to dip lower, thats a good thing to know, i wish the dealer had told me that. it makes sense though to not blind other drivers.

There are places that sell bulb-and-ballast kits, but as Brian says the reflectors are different. If you really want to convert, check with Mazmart (in the vendor section) to see if they have a set of headlights in stock.

The left side beam is lower, but it's not supposed to keep getting lower. I'd look for an adjusting screw that's too loose.
