Dive Bum

I noticed today that the head light on the driver's side was out. I went by the store and grabbed a H7-ST. I have replaced a couple of these so I am familiar with the procedure. The issue is that when I went to slide the bulb back into the car I felt the retention clip pop off.... like no longer attached to the car. I looked and looked and tried every way possible to reattach it to the car but that booger kicked my butt . If any has any insight as to how this thing attaches... it would be greatly appreciated.
