help with transmission fluid change

so i was going to change my transmission fluid today, but i noticed alot of people saying something about max gear oil for the differential here on the forums. i had already order 4 quarts of mt90 from redline website. would it be OK if i used that in the differential instead of the max gear oil from redline? if not i guess i will be saling 2 quarts of mt90 on here.

I would say no, you're going to want a 75w-90 oil in the diff. Sell two quarts of the MT-90.

when you say transmission, do you mean an auto transmission or manual gearbox , I'm asking just in case you think its the same lubricant.

Also you need a different type of oil for the diff don't you? I think I read on here gl-4 for the transmission and gl-5 for the diff in the manuals.

Read the owner's manual for the right spec for the transmission.

Title is wrong.

Fluid is in a automatic transmission; gear oil is in a manual transmission.

I still can't tell if he wants to change his manual transmisssion gear oil or not.
