Help! Where is the RPM signal pinout?

I'm installing a S-AFC II but can't seem to figure out where I can get the RPM signal. For those of you that know the 8's PCM pinout codes please.. HELP!!

Thanks zoom44 for the reply.

I went through this thread but on your diagram is doesn't indicate the RPM signal directly. Is the information incorporated with some other component?

There is no RPM signal on the rx8

to get the rpm signal from the ECU, you need to combine the signals from either both leading coils or both trailing coils, there is no straight RPM wire.

tapping one coil signal will give you 1/2 rpm signal. you need to add them together to get a full signal.

Thanks for the help! I search for this info but the other posts were confusing. Your concise answer is much more easy to understand.

While I have your attention, what about the knocking signal? Only the PCM pinout diagram it has 1T, 1F, and 1G coming out the knocking sensor (KS). Which one should I use or will I have to combine connections like the RPM case?

Off the top of my head I havent needed to deal with the knock sensor,...

I would have to look at the service manual to answer your question...

If you have access to the manual it should be fairly easy to find.

Maybe someone else can chime in
