HKS Circle Earth Grounding Kit

I searched but couldn't find anything about this, so sorry if it's a repeat.

I just got the HKS grounding kit. On vividracing.com it seemed like it was made for the RX8, but when I got it, I found out it's a universal kit.

Has anyone installed this kit, or can anyone who has the Lineage kit, etc. tell me what length the wires need to be? I don't want to accidently cut the wires the wrong length and then have to buy more. If I know this, then I can do the rest myself and post a DIY for the HKS Kit specifically. Thanks for your help!

XDEEDUBBX and I both did this. ours turned out differently because we picked some of our own grounding points. be creative with it.

Yeah I'll do that. It should only be a couple more days before they're done installing my new engine. Then I get to install this kit, my AP pulley, and Nology Hotwires! Then it's on to the cooling mods. I can't wait to get it back and see how everything works.

Those both look good, shouldn't be too much longer until I can put mine in. Found out today when they were putting the tranny back on that a bearing on my flywheel was bad. That should be in tomorrow and hopefully I'll have it back then.

This kit is really nice. It even gives you a new gold plated battery terminal and a clean way to connect the wires at the terminal. I don't think any of the other kits i've seen do this.

I also was not a big fan of the purple, but its growing on me. The way I ran the wires, you can't see much of them anyway. I'll post pics and try to make a DIY as soon as I find my camera.

ive installed my grounding kit from ebay which is pretty much the same thing as the hks one. Took about an hour and a half to install. Search Ground wire install, you might have to read through some pages before you see pictures on how to install it.

For anyone who is just wondering ... i used some string to get lengths. then went to a audio shop for some 6 ga wire. they even crimped em for me. You can get any color you want. there is litterally 100 colors to choose from ... Pics to follow as soon as my lazy but takes them and posts them.

PS ... I used a combonation of guages cause not everything needed a huge 6 ga wire. I used an 8 ga wire in some places.

On a car as new as the rx8 you are not likely to have any voltage or grounding issues, so one of these will not help you. The only time you will see an increase in voltage or power is if there is a defficiency in the connections that is preventing full voltage charge and thus full power to sensors, ignition, etc.

I routinely make these setups for rx7s and it often does help out considerably on the older models with various hesitation and voltage issues. Especially since those cars have been worked on several times and people like to rig them up for some reason.

I like to start with new battery terminals, or perfectly clean stock ones. Make a clean connection from ground to chassis and engine block. I also like to run extra grounds to the engine wiring harness ground clips on top of the engine, the starter body, and alternator case. Then I like to run power cables to the alternator B post and the starter B post as well.
