How can I tell that my omp adapter is working ?
I'm a bit afraid that my omp adapter is not working. I've put 2 cycle oil in a container directly connected to the sohn omp adapter. I've made sure that there was a little hole in the container to avoid any vacuum.
The thing is that the old oil in the 3 little tubes going to the oil injector is brown and the new one is kind of greenish. I can't see anything move in there, the green oil stop where I can see it at the sohn adapter nozzle and the brown oil start where the 3 transparent tubes start. I was expecting to see the green oil replace the brown oil in the tubes at some point.
Does anyone have an idea of what can be wrong or is it normal? I've let the engine run for 5-8 minutes at most. Maybe it's just me being paranoiac.
Thanks

It probably all got mixed together to form one shade? It's all 2 stroke oil, so it shouldn't separate out according to density, it should just mix together. I've never used an OMP adapter before, but I'd consider it to be working as long as the level in the tank continues to drop (evidence the engine is using the oil). I'm sure someone else who runs one of these can confirm this logic.
Now if 2 tubes had green oil and one brown, THEN I'd get suspicious of a clog or something.
Keep in mind, you aren't injecting a lot of oil into the combustion chamber. Mark the oil level and then run a full tank of gas through it and see if the level drops.

Ok... I think I've got my proof... I'm paranoiac.
Since I am flushing my old coolant at the same time I had to stand by my car while it was warming up. While looking at the 3 little hoses, I've seen some green bubbles going up. It must mean that the OMP is actually pumping oil from my oil reservoir. the green oil doesn't blend with the old one, the old one is a 4 cycle oil and the new one 2-cycle.
That's it... I'm happy
