How do you remove the intake & tray?
I'm trying to access the harness underneath the intake tray (my ABS and DSC are out). In MazdaManiac's thread (https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/power-steering-failure-107481/) it states he "pulled the intake and tray ". Now this may be enough for most people but I'll admit I'm a little slow. I don't see exactly how this is best accomplished.
Any advice or instructions on what to do would be appreciated. There are two 10mm bolts on the front and another pair down behind (underneath) the intake. Do all these need to removed? I'd prefer no to start ripping things out *****-nilly.
TIA.

Pull the wire connection off the MAF, on top of the tube directly behind the airbox.
Loosen the clip holding the rubber accordion tube to the throttle body.
Push HARD back and up on the airbox, to set it free from the posts/grommets that hold it in.
Lift airbox straight up and out.
Make sure the rubber grommets are still in place in the tray below - they tend to fall into the rad fans below.

Well, that worked (kind of).
I popped the intake off.
Then removed the four 10mm bolts.
Got to the harness and tried to clean it off. As a result of my diligence I now have no PS to go along with no ABS/DSC. The trifecta. Oh, well.
At least now I know how to get to the connector. Thanks again!
