Question how to remove blank buttons?

how can i remove the button beside my dsc button without breaking it...im trying to install a switch but cant figure out how to get it out....thanks

You can reach up behind the dash with your fingers and squeeze the clips at the top and bottom of the switch panel and it should pop out easily. I've got small hands though, if you've got big hands a screwdriver might be easier.

I recall it kinda being a pain. You'll need to get a light and look before you start pushing what you think is the tabs. You might pull a wire loose or something.

has anyone drilled these buttons to put in their own switch? i got mine out fine, but right now the piece is in my console and the switch is just hanging there. i thought it was a dead panel, but it has all that backing...i guess i still just drill a hole right through it!!
