How to tell when was my flash updated?

Was wondering if there was any way to tell WHEN the car was reflashed. My dealer said it was done with the recall 2-3 weeks ago, but the RPM cutoff didn't work. Took my car in today to have them recheck the recall procedures, and they said everything was done the first time....including the reflash. I'm thinking they're lying to me and want to find out. I know this is sort of a repost, but not really.

Look for the sticker. Under the hood, in the door jam or even on the bottom of the door jam

Sorry, forgot to mention....they didn't put a sticker in, to service manager about it, he said, "oh well, it'll show up in the computer the recall was done."

if you're reallybothered, buy a hymee scanalyser, it will detail your current flash ...although thats a bit drastic frankly

I just had my recall done (June '04 build) and noticed no difference in performance, no stickers, and no notation on my service ticket about reflashing, other than "thermal recall".

My car was running great when I brought it in. I was concerned that any changes would degrade performance, so I'm not complaining, just wondering if the reflash was actually done. My radio settings and clock were unchanged. Do they disconnect the battery to do the flash?

Many years ago I had recall work done on my Subaru SVX (oil cooler, I believe) only to find 6 months later that the work was never done.

I was present when the dealer did mine; no disconnection of the battery was performed.
Just the 20 brake pedal stumps after the flash and gas tank recall.
No stickers where put on the car neither.

Also could see all the codes and settings their pc could do to the car,
Only error codes where 4 tire sensors,
(Makes sense sins they are not installed with the Volk wheels)

Tech was shocked that no error code came up on the RP midpipe
Seems the mechanical fix is working!
Was happy, so was the tech performing and working on the car.

I just had my recall done today, I asked the service manager to show me the sticker and he did so with no problem. They put it in the door sill on the drivers side. I did not lose my radio station presets. Try taking it to another dealer, they should be able to check the current flash on the car and check to see that the recall was done. Also call Mazda customer relations and express your concern that this "issue" was not being handled correctly and you question the dealers work. They may just take over from there.

Does anyone know the codes for the recalls? I found a sticker on the underside front edge of my hood yesterday when I washed the car. It is a white and blue sticker and says "Authorized Mazda Modification" and it has some code on it and it is dated 7/15/05. I am guessing it is for one of the recalls, but I did not write the code down and could not find a listing for the US recall codes that would appear on this sticker to know what it is for. My assumption is that it is the re-flash as it is located above the fuse box area, but I have only had the car for less than a month and am trying to catch up on all the details.

"Oh well", my ***. The sticker is a required part of the recall work.

I'm in this boat too...no sticker. I was back in a week later for an unrelated issue and asked them to put the stickers on...they said they would...still no sticker.

I'm pretty sure they reflashed mine since it has never started this easy in the sub 50 degree weather before

My dealer has never put on any of the stickers listed in the steps of a TSB or a recall. They rely on the Mazda maintenance database to indicate what has been done to a particular VIN.

I don't particularly care for them doing it this way but I can only fuss about so much.

Maybe the dealer didn't update their files(WDS?) to the latest program. I'd take the car back and actually show them in the lot that the car doesn't automatically cut the revs like it should. I'd also have the paper w/ me that shows how the engine is suppose to react when revved and not moving.
