Identifying clutch problems

As a new MT owner and this being my first manual car, I was just wandering if you guys can give me a heads up on signs and sounds that might indicate something is wrong with the clutch/transmission. Everything seems fine now, but I just want to know what to listen out for if things should ever go south. Feel free to also explain what some normal noises might be/sound like. This may seem a bit paranoid but I'd rather be aware and observant than clueless.

Slowly over time the clutch pedal will get harder and harder to push in. In other words stiffer. At some point it will begin to slip.

well you really shouldn't worry abotu your clutch going south...b/c it's stock as is your car...if ou change it out then you migh thave to worry abotu listening fo rsounds and what not..but since you haven't switched out your clutch don't worry about it.

if it starts to slip (which it will do one day) then you need to change it out....if you are curious as to how to knwo when it is sliping...well you can always check out the site how stuff works http://www.howstuffworks.com and type in clutch...but anyways a sliping clutch will not engage..well it will go in gear...but when you release it it won't really grad liek it should...it'll feel like you are still letting teh clutch out when you really aren't.....hmm sorry buit i suck at trying to explain things. :p
