if your car vibrates and its not the mounting?
RPM is low, 800+ how to overcome this?

 

I was having problems with low/erratic idle and some studdering. I just got the newest flash, did the throttle body bypass mod, put a breather filter on my oil filler neck, and cleaned my MAF. Now it idles right at 850 without a step or bobble.

 

sorry, but i don't understand any of the above, i am a tech idiot, can u explain briefly? what is throttle body bypass mod? i didn't mod my car. what is a breather filter and MAF?

 

Let me break it apart

It means, he got the newest software from Mazda, you need to get this at a Mazda Dealer. call them up, whine and they should give it to you. Its the "S" Flash, if they dont know what is it , search around on this forum you should be able to find the software version number. Just give it to your dealer.

You might want to leave this one alone.

Im not so sure about this one, maybe he was trying to say he got a better oil filter? I use WiX Oil filters and its great, I paid 6 bucks for mine, cheap and good insurance. Much better than those "no brand" or "FRAM" filters that can actually break and ruin your engine.

He means that he cleaned his MAF, also known as "Mass Air Flow Sensor". it seems that your car is stock. Open your hood. Look down to the slight right. You should see a Big black Box with a tube going up to the engine. and you should see theres a black thing that's secured by 2 screws with some wires attached to it in the middle of the Big Plastic Tube. Thats your MAF. You can just get some Electrionic Safe Oil remover and spray it on all over. sit for a while for it to dry. put it back on. and be happy ! but remember, do NOT , do NOT touch the wires inside the MAF, its going to cost you 100 something if you do so (and Also you might want to get a better air filter)

*Edited* Hmmm if you're in Malaysia Im not sure if you can get the newer flash. You need to ask Mazda for it.
