Ignition key not turning
Twice in the last two days I've had this problem. The key would not turn in the ignition for several minutes. I would remove it, jiggle it, try turning it while pressing in, not pressing in, light pressure, hard pressure, etc. The last time I thought I was going to have to call a tow truck. But I kept at it and it eventually turned with complete smoothness.
Please note that I have never had a problem turning it until just the last two days, and I've owned the car since the first of the year.
What do you think? Should I spray some WD-40 in it? Or is this a problem for the dealership?

it has happened to me a couple times..but if u turn the sterring wheel a bit while turning the key..it should work...it might be the key lock thing...im not quite sure what its called..but its a security feature i think..its also like that on the ml320...hope this helps

yeah, I'd go with wheel lock...happens if you turn your wheel with the key out...it'll stop turning and lock, then make it hard to turn the key..... That's why I don't touch the wheel after I pull out the key...but I guess it's a security feature...no key, no turn....

Thanks for the answers, everyone. I figured it was part of the anti-theft system, but I couldn't figure out why the key wasn't turning at all. If this happens again, I'll try tugging on the steering wheel to see if that frees up the key.
