Information needed for possible DIY air pump delete
Hello
I have removed my air pump as it has failed and I run catless.
Predictively have to engine light on because if this, and after doing some homework it seems the ECU monitors the output current from the front o2 and if it falls above spec then it determines that there is a fault.
Does anyone have any data from their own car with some o2 sensor (front) current and voltage references? Preferably with the air pump running correctly?
I did see about getting the ECU changed to stop monitoring the system but there are no reliable shops in my area.
Otherwise I may just remove the engine management light bulb (obviously this is not advisable but it beats having the light on all the time).
Thanks in advance
Antony
