Installing Diodes

Installing Diodes
I need to install a diode onto my Tail Light/Brake Lights so that whenever I apply the brake my running lights will not turn on as well.
Can anyone explain to me how to install the diode onto my tail light bulbs?

I purchased new Tail Light Bulbs from V-LEDS, and as soon as I installed them that started happening. I sent V-LEDS an email and they told me that sometimes that does happen and that I need to install a Diode onto the Tail Light Bulbs and that would solve my problem.
Only thing is, I have no idea what I am doing with a diode, and I wanna do it myself instead of taking it somewhere to save myself some money.

Wait, hold on. By running lights do you mean...headlights, parking lights (the little tubular light in the inside edge of the headlight), or sidemarkers? Yeah...I would think the circuitry is good enough that your problem wouldn't happen, but.
My shoes are wet.
I'll assume you mean the parking lights, but how did you realize another exterior light was activating along with your brake lights? Did someone tell you?
Does this happen only when you have your headlights on? Or does it also happen when you're driving during the day, when you don't use the headlights, also?
The switch to turn the headlights parking lights on also turn on the tail lights, and though I believe the circuitry is stable enough not to let this happen..., there is a possibility that the excess energy leftover from the LED lights could make its way back to the front parking lights making them turn on.
Non factory LED turn signal bulbs tend to blink faster because LEDs don't need as much power and need to get rid of the extra draw; so it kind of makes sense that surge of extra power from the brake light circuit of your tail light bulb would find its way to the parking light because tail lights don't have flashers. But this would only happen if your parking lights were off? Do you know if the tail light part of the bulb turns on when you step on the brakes too?
I'm just throwing out ideas but I don't know enough about electronics to deduce any reasons. A diode would help, but the proper placement for one is beyond me.
I hate the rain.

I followed this thread for the Bulb Code...
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/2004-mazda-rx-8-bulb-code-list-25466/
...and I ordered these off of V-LEDS...

Are the bulbs the wrong kind of bulbs? They are 7443's and that is what I need for my 8.

I didn't know about my exterior lights until someone pointed it out but when I would apply the brakes I noticed my night time lights would turn on with my radio.
The headlight lamp icon on the dashboard would also turn on but be lit about 1/2 way.
I was having some issues with the Braille power protector block I bought due to the race battery I installed. Once I took that thing out a lot of my power issues went away. I'll look to see if I posted anything previously as at some point I resolved the issue.

I will have to do some digging but I had this same issue a couple years ago.
