Exclamation K&N V2 Cold Air Duct?

I have been thinking about fabricating up a fiberglass duct to link my Revi Duct and K&N V2. First of all, is there already one? Secondly, is there any reason that this would be ill advised?

If successful, i might just make a few of them and have them painted.

nope

best you can do is RB duct + some custom fab work to direct air into it.

Good. that's what I plan to do. I'll make up a form that I can reuse and get to it.

Would you be willing to make me one? I have been looking for one and I really didn't want a RB. Could you post a pic of the finished product and I'll buy one from you. Thanks.

Since I have not made one yet, what kind of finish are you looking for? I was leaning toward a black powdercoat or piano black like the radio face plate, but i'm not sure. Either way, I would have them professionally painted by my body shop.

BTW I won't sell any until I talk w/ mods about selling and figure out what it costs to get them painted. I know that a bunch of people are interested in something like this, but I need to get one finished before I commit to selling them.

I think I am leaning towards flat black or powdercoat. If you want, you dont even have to paint one for me because my uncle owns a bodyshop and I could paint it. Just an idea. Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

that looks SWEET! It almost makes me wish I didn't trade my K&N v2 for the AEM CAI.

You have V1 or V2???

mine is a V1.. I first replaced the HUGE *** filter with an APC Cone filter with Heat Shield. like this one...

Then put the 6" to 6" Plumbing coupler over the end of the heat shield and used the clamp to tighten it and it will push the other end up against the opening in the front of the car.

if you have the V2 measure across the opening of the front of the filter should be 6" or less and this coupler will work also...

I ordered the APC Intimidator air filter today. $65.00. I should have it by the end of the week. Just need to get to the depot to purchase the 6" x 6" coupler. Can't wait.

Did you notice a difference in power once you finished the modification?
