Leaking Transmission Oil
Happened the first time back in 2010 (still under warranty) and took it to the dealer where they diagnosed the problem as a transmission output seal. They fixed it and everything was normal for around a year or so... then same problem. Took it back to them and they replaced it again... same story. Here I am again with the same problem and no clear answer. The latest possible answer was something like "there maybe is a bushing around the seal that they did not replace." Does anybody know what this bushing might be if it does in fact exist, or have any other possibilities as to why this keeps happening.
The part number of the seal that has been replaced twice now is:
R50117335A
Thanks in advance,
Matt Kaiser
edit: when I say leaking, i mean it slowly seeps out while driving onto the cat, which then heats it up and I can smell it.

That is the correct part number for Series 1.
Not known for giving problems or issues, I would be getting them to check your Prop Shaft Yoke Spline area, the shinny part where the seal runs on for any deformation or marks which 'could' be damaging the new seal.
There are no other parts that should be changed, or they could be damaging new seal when installing it, their 'method' of install could be brutal.
