VA LED Timer

MY lED lights are tuned on and off by a keychain remote. Sometimes i forget to turn off these lights, or i accidently turn them on in my pocket and do not realize. MY battery has died several times during the night.

I was hoping someone would know of a electrical timer that could turn off the lights after a certain amount of time.

Or maybe someone has a better solution? (besides not being an idiot of course)

wire the power to the lights so as there isnt power supplied to them when the car is off look up led footwells diy or something and itll tell you where to tap or you could tap into the cigarette lighter thats where i did and they only come on when the key is turned

I'm thinking you'll need a mini timer relay/module for this application.
I found this with a quick Google search:
http://www.seco-larm.com/MiniTimer.htm
But something along the lines of this should be what you're seeking.
Only question is... how good are you at wiring/understanding relays and triggers?

All depends on how/where you wire it.
Whenever I do something like this, I draw a schematic to visualize how its going to be wired.
That way its easier for me to identify any issues I might have overlooked.

Only problem is I don't know the wiring for your LED lights and remote module.
Are these interior lights? Are any other devices/lights activated by the remote?
Do you want everything to turn off associated with the remote or only certain things?
What circuit did you tap into for each?
Because of these variables... its difficult for me to give any clear advise on how to wire it without knowing what else could be affected.
