JP Left my rebuilt engine waiting to be lifted and...

Title. Built engine in the garage and left it waiting to be lifted back to my RX8. Ill be back in the garage in 3 days and finish the rebuild and turn the key.

However, I am having huge stress and nervousness about the rebuild... "Did I do it good enaugh?" "Did I do it correctly" "What if I F'ed up"... Etc.

Ok so everything seems fine, didn't see any coolant seals fall off while lifting the housings on. apex seals are seated properly, side seals clearanced by the mazda workshop book (0.004 tolerance total)... Only thing am thinking I might have done wrong or f'ed up is installing the frontstack.

I installed all the parts on the frontstack while the motor was on the table on its bottom, so I am having low confidence having the inner thrust bearing seated properly. I did check the endplay and it was within the spec. Is there a way to tell from the endplay if the bearings are pinched or not? is there some other easy way to figure that out.

Anything else I might have missed or should worry about before turning the key?

Check to see you get nice pulses when you turn it over.

If you have correct end play you didn't screw up the front stack... if you do it usually binds up and you have no end play..

Gotta think you did it correctly or else you going to drive yourself crazy second guessing everything 😀

hah, thanks for the reassurance I did the "3 rotation pressure tests" since I dont have a compression tester (or extra manual housing to put a starter and try it out with that). The 3 rotation 6 pulses sounds fine. The air sounds are clean, equal and sharp. Also i'd say spinning the engine from the front bolt is not "too easy" but definitely not too hard either. Heard somewhere online that 20nm torque or so should not snap on torque wrench when spinning the engine.

So I should be good? Fingers crossed
