great read, somebody should just bump all of RGs old write ups or make a new section in the forum dedicated to him.
I was wondering...
How are those "power chamber intakes" like from "Top Fuel" where there's a larger diameter pipe or a chamber right in between the intake cone and the throttle body. They seem like they knew what they were doing from what I read here about the slower air => higher pressure(if i got it right)
And the "power suction intake" from HKS, where its a larger diameter pipe from the filter gradually to a smaller diameter at the throttle, like the mouth of a trumpet. How would these intake perform technically? they both seem to work like its explained here to me, unless theres more to it than meets the eye.
also wanted to add the re amemiya mid pipe just because this thread touched alittle about exhaust, its smaller diameter at the ex manifold and it gradually becomes a larger in diameter at the end. How do these work?
couldn't find the update mentioned by RG on the 2005 post unless it was updated already on the very first post.

I am personally skeptical of the power chamber intakes. They aren't ram air systems either. I'm sure they do something but it's acoustic based only which may or may not be minimal in effect. It looks like fancy marketing on a fancy looking design to me. They claim to give the biggest gains but other intakes give about what they do within an acceptable tolerance. There are certain things that can be done but for the most part simplest is best.
I have an exhaust idea that I am going to test as i've been working on it this past week but unfortunately the easiest place for me to test it is on a Honda. I have no clue if it's work though.
