Those carbons in Expo's motor is not that bad.

After my last sparkplug's replacement and saw all those carbon on the plugs, I turn my premix down to about 4oz every fillup.(used to do 8oz per fillup)

If its just 1/2 tank empty I will just put 2 oz.

Thx to Expo for *giving up* his motor

and Thx to Paul for taking time to Snap those pics

and Thx to the Rick Engman for building all these wonderful engines

Wondering? What are they wondering?

I think I might tune down the premix a little after reading this... I'm at 7oz per fillup

People make mistakes when they're hungry, let me find something to eat.

By the way, Royal Purple 5W40 meets API SM, rather than just SL for their 5W30. I know it's not a big deal to some, but it might be to others as I think the SM grade is supposed to be better for cats.

I am, and I like fresh air.

I think they should force every cars for CATs check up every 2 years or so. Cuz I've seen too many of those *black smoke* cars running around. If its in places like Hong Kong they will pull you over even just having black looking smoke

I miss Hong Kong (Asia in general), but there aren't that many sports cars there and certainly few rotaries.

Where have you been in Hong Kong ? Lantau island or something ? lol

I've seen way WAY MORE sports car in Hong kong than even in Japan.

Ferraris espeically, Im not sure about now but couple years ago Hong kong is the place where most Ferraris went. Hell they even have 2 Ferrari F430 GT when they have no Racing history (Thats one of the requirements to get one of those suckers)

GT-Rs R34-32 everywhere, Supras, u name it

Not much Vette tho thats for sure.

Thanks Paul. I know I use to use 20W-50 in my BP RX-4 and PP REPU. With out a problem. I just wish I could do that now, I think I'd feel a little more at ease. Ahh the good old days.
Thanks for your enlightening photos and comments on what you have found.

Thanks for your subscription Easy. I've enjoyed documenting the process.

The 5W or 10W40 should do you just fine.

Paul.
