Limp Mode

So, my 8 has been going into limp mode since my cel has been on for the past month.

I've noticed that the car is burning really rich and the idle is really sputtering until the temp. reaches halfway n then the car cuts off.

Before it cuts off, it gives a little rev, goes back to a normal type idle rythem and then, cuts off.

So, in essence, i've deduced from reading numerous threads here that the MAF could be clogged or some guys mentioned the cat converter.

I'd appreciate if some guys with experience with this problem can point me in the right direction. I'll try to get a proper scan on it soon also.

Cheers.

hmmm - I think they might be coil failure codes .
If you read the Mazsport coil upgrade thread the coil codes are in there - somewhere in the first 5 pages ....

Well the guy really said that my ignition coils B and D are gone, so i guess he's right.

The car is misfiring so i guess the coils need replacing, its JDM also.

glad you were able to trouble shoot the problem. did you really have the CEL on for Month?

coils are easy to replace, order them from one of our vendors.

Yea, well i had the CEL on last month n parked the car. I then started to eliminate the problems 1 by 1 via the threads here which were very helpful if i may add.
