I don't find it that much of an annoyance.
And I don't see your argument with we all know how to drive...racing cars have shift lights and those drivers sure know how to drive, ours is just a beep instead of light.
I think its funny when you have passengers and they think you broke something on your car when it goes off.

I was referring to the guy who suggested I or anyone else run their car into a bridge abutment to solve his problems.
The only thing concise in that suggestion is the dude's got a jacka$$ problem. I'd bet he's a snivelling little weasel also, although that's less clear.
