Question A little help please

I just recently bought my 8 it's the 2004 w 20k miles. When I bought it there was a squeling sound coming from the brakes, and at idle I can feal vibrations. I took it back to the dealers they said that the brakes were high performance pads and some times they squeak. I'm not realy buying that. and they said that because of the rotory engine the vibration was also normal. Are these guys blowing smoke or is this normal.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

The car does vibrate some at idle, so long as it doesn't stall your fine. The brakes are HP, sometimes they might squeal. How long have you had your 8? Maybe with some regular use and some " fun " driving it will go away. If it doesn't there is a TSB that dealers can try.

I have also read on other posts that the HP brakes also do not make as much brake dust. That is what I must have put on my Jeep Cherokee cause they squeal like a stuck pig.

go to www.finishlineperformance.com and check out the TSB's or technical service bulletins for the RX-8. The brake pads should not squeal and should be replaced per the TSB. The vibration could be caused by a cracked motor mount, again another TSB and should also be checked. And if you haven't read or received anything in the mail, the 8 has also been recalled, so your dealer should have that info as well to perform certain tests under the recall.
