Looking for a picture of a stock fresh air duct.
I have installed an AEM intake on my racecar but I have been challenged by some competitors on its legality. Basically I cannot get air from outside the engine compartment unless it comes from the stock location. I have the PDF files that show where the fresh air duct goes (outside of engine compartment) but I was hoping that someone here may have a picture of it with the bumper cover off and another picture from down low with the grill out (Stock bumper).
I didn't intend this thread to be to detailed on the rules or the best option just looking for some pics to use in the tech shed if needed I tried searching the forums but after about an hr I am giving up.
Thanks,
Stephen

The enclosed shows the stock airbox in place but the VFAD removed, as well as the bumper and impact foam. The stock intake air is what I would call outside the engine bay, so even stock is somewhat of a 'cold air intake.'
I actually mated a Racing Beat duct to my stock airbox (using a short section of the VFAD tube) as shown in the second picture.
A true CAI of course removes the stock airbox and moves the [conical] filter to where my duct intake is shown.
edit: the above picture shows the VFAD attached and the two paths the intake air can take dependent on the VFAD shutter positioning.
