did you end up getting a new engine ?

 

oh man...please update. i think i have the first stage of your problem with my o4 GT. it idles rough when its hot out and in traffic, but at night its fine. sometimes a rough idle after a little fun driving.

 

lol i thought the thread died down i appologize....

long story short i got a new engine...also got motor mounts changed and a new fuel pump under waranty...i just had to shell out money for some "other labor" to take care of the "hours upon hours" it took the tech to remove my ACT flywheel...i didn complain since i was thankful i got the work done despite the aftermarket part.

 

where do you live?

 

i live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. right now we see days of high 80's to low 90's and nights are mid to high 60's. i noticed the poor performance mainly after the home to town commute which is about 30miles, mostly 60-70mph. then i get home shut down, then maybe 10mins later, i have to runa an errnad so when i start er up again, it starts fine but it feel slike the throttle response is decreased.

 

HEY howd you get all that done under warranty? is yours extended? speaking of warranty, what would "alignment" be? under powertrain warranty? and is that the 54 year 60k mile one?
