Lubricating the slave cylinder rod/clutch fork
It may be on this website somewhere but I haven't found it yet, and I've searched.
What's the proper way to lubricate the slave cylinder? I've been under my car but it looks like the slave cylinder is on the top of the transmission. Are you just supposed to spray behind the oil filter blindly and hope some of it gets to the right place?
Can you even lube the slave cylinder without unbolting it from the transmission?
I'm trying to get rid of this persistent squeak in my clutch pedal that has been around forever. It's not the clutch pedal because it's brand new, and it goes away temporarily when my mechanic has lubed the clutch fork in the past so I'm guessing that's the source.
I'd just like to get rid of it once and for all, and hopefully with minimal effort.
