lucas oil stabilizer?

ok i so i haven't seen any threads or i haven't found anything related

so i guess i will ask, has anyone used this? i used it on my mx6 when the HLAS were ticking loudly and it did a great job shutting them up, plus i felt like i ran a bit smoother.

i asked the idiots at the store if its safe on rotarys and i just go the blank stares of confusion lol

so any info on this product from the gurus here?

i did search and i found nothing

I would have agreed with you at one point in the past. It kept my Corolla's engine running another 17,000 miles after it (apparently) cracked something in the upper block. (can't remember if it was a rod, lifter, or cam).

That being said, one of the sayings on here that makes complete sense and I am going to stick with from now on unless I am just trying to squeeze the last life out of a dying car:

"If you have to add something to your oil you are using the wrong oil".

^ What he said. Use good oil. Plenty of opinions on what brand / base stock / viscosity that may be, but good oil does not need additives.

Lucas is horrible stuff! It pours like cold molasses. Their claim is that the oil stays up where it needs to longer. It's so thick how can it not? The problem is that it foams horribly. Trapped air bubbles make it much more likely that metal to metal contact will occur. Stay away from that stuff.
