Maintenance Work

Hey guys, What would be the best oils to use in the rx8? I just got the car 2 weeks ago and I want to do full fluid change on it. What is the coolant mixture, what oil (synthetic or regular) as well as transmission and diff oil. Also for doing coolant all I need to do is drain from radiator and fill from cap right? How do I make sure no air in system? Probably need how-tos on everything. I cant search for all these answers because posting from phone. Thanks

Jay-

I presume you're home by now and able to search...

First thing is to look up fluid types in your owner's manual. If you don't have one, download one from Mazdausa.com. Second thing would be to go to the DIY forum here. There are a couple of stickies with lists of all the DIYs...including the stuff you want to do.

Also, if you haven't done so yet, post a picture of your car. Otherwise nobody here will believe you have one.

Heh. Jaynoobs. Ken makes me think no one should even respond to oil questions from noobs without a car pic with user name. And now there's the danger of getting caught by Mr. Hill's new DT thing. The CHRDTT.
