Mazda RX-8 High power enginelight turns on in the dashboard

Hello folks!

Im from Norway and my english is not so good, but ill try to explain my problems as good as I can.

I have a 2004 Mazda Rx-8 highpower 231HP

My engine broke down a couple of month ago. Front rotor was wrecked or something like that. After a time I received a new engine on goodwill warranty from Mazda. Thank god for that!

But after I received it back from the mazda garage with the new engine, the enginelight on dashboard turned on after a little driving.

Tha car runs smooth and clean. But I and the garage have problems to solve the engine light case. The mechanic has been speaking with technical soppurt at Mazda Norway. But still not found any answer to the fault.

Here is the problems:

-When the car stands still and its not moving, it sometimes appears to choke og and the engine shuts down. When it stands still, the engine sometimes runs little bit ups and downs from 0,5 rpm-2,0rpm.

The failure codes are:

-P0172 System too rich ON 2 Fuel system

-U0073 CAN system communication error

The code U0073 doesnt appear any more I think.

It has been changed:

-New engine
-New spark plugs
-New sparkplug cable
-New Air lots measure or airmeasure thing thats on the top of air host to the engine

Any one here that can help me out or give me some advise??

I will be thankful for any advises!

System too rich come from either the sensors. or the Engine is *bad*

If the engine rpm jumps like this "700 rpm - 2000 rpm - 700 rpm - 2000 rpm- ... " it could be your Transmission's neutral switch.

-New Air lots measure or airmeasure thing thats on the top of air host to the engine
I guess you're talking about Intake Manifold ?

It could be the coils going bad. You can tell your Garage to change that as well.

the engine runs like you told:

700 rpm - 2000 rpm - 700 rpm - 2000 rpm

So if i change the Transmission's neutral switch, will the problem with the enginelight and the problem P0172 System too rich ON 2 Fuel system dissappear??

Or do I have to change the coil also??
