ok need for speed i'll try to help you out. but i need some information. do you know what type of LSD the mazdaspeed rx8 has? can you give me a link to that information? then i can help you understand the difference, if any, between it and the one in the stock rx8.

Translation to english:
What is the differance between the mazdaspeed LSD (and stock), 2 ways or 3 ways? Is it difficult to drive or is it better?
I want to get one but am afraid it is not good for a street car. Can someone tell me the good and bad things about LSD please? I am not sure of the function of this system.
End Translation.
The only useful thing I can add is that it is a 2 way LSD.

Says for racing purposes only, and gives better traction.

let's clear some things up first: 1. mazdaspeed offers two limited slip differentials in there lineup. the first is a 1.5 way and the second is a 2 way.
a 1 way lsd locks only under acceleration. a 2 way locks fully under both deceleration and acceleration. a 1.5 way lsd is a compromise of the two....it is generally better for street apps as a 2 way lsd can be tricky on the street.

there is no such thing as a 3 way l.s.d. either that or i am in the dark about it but i was almost certain that only 1, 1.5, and 2 way l.s.d's exist.
this tech article from club4ag has can say it better than i can: http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20t...ential_101.htm

the LSD in your car right now is a Torque Sensing differential, and will NOT perform like a true LSD under extreme conditions (one tire in the air, a TorSen differential like we have will just spin a tire like a normal differential).
Torque sensing differentials only can transfer a "multiple" of the torque from one wheel to another, so if a wheel can get NO torque to the ground, the other won't get any either.

there is a link to how a torsen differential works. it happens to be in an article that has information about differentials in general too

Consider the Torsen is already paid for and never wears out versus the Mazdaspeed will need a rebuild every ~30k miles or so to perform well enough.
