mazdaspeed parts

Hmmmm....I suggest you do some investigation/reading on the specific part you are looking to replace....this is a pretty open ended general question.
I guess a quick overall response would be that MazdaSpeed stuff is Mazda'a performance 'division', and 'most' parts would be a step up from OEM in terms of performance. Price compared to amount of improvement?.....it depends on what you are talking about improving, and what you're looking to gain. Remember, as far as '8' performance is concerned, Mazda has done a pretty good job OEM (with the possible exception of lacking maybe a bit of hp (but that is something that aftermarket also has yet to really be able to unlock)). With that said, you need to understand that you probably will not realize major gains with MazdaSpeed/aftermarket on MOST improvements......but they will still be improvements. Soooo, if you have a bit of extra cash, and are interested in what I would call minimal gains for normal everyday driving....go for it. Now, if you plan on being at the track alot, then these types of improvement (I.e. - suspension components) will be more beneficial and become more cost effective.

The Mazdaspeed body kit not only makes the car look great (IMO) but also is supposed to add actualy downforce at speed.
The 'power' mods from Mazdaspeed are desinged for better response rather than more power. Flywheel, Air Filter, Cat-Back Exhaust.
The wheels, braking system and suspension are for better handling/grip. (lighter and firmer)
Its all parts to improve the cars time over a road course type enviornment....not a drag strip. So if you want power....go after-market.
