Mazdatrix Wires

Mazdatrix Wires
Picked up some Mazdatrix wires for my plulg change.
They showed up, but they look way different on the coil connection side than the stock wires on the car.
The stock ones have a little spring inside, and are open and round. There is no metal that extends past the boot.
The mazdatrix wires have no spring, and what looks like a round "claw". It sticks out past the boot. If these wires are supposed to fit, my assumption is that the metal claw would be pushed INSIDE of the coil. Seems like this will bend the "claw" ...
.. so, not wanting to break anything, this makes no sense.
Anyone install mazdatrix wires before?

i think your stock wire broke...i assume it looked like atillas when we took his out...your fine. That metal peice sticking out is fine, make sure theres nothing stuck in the coil from the stock wire

I got to looking, and nothing looked broken on the wire.
I stared at a picture of the coil, and determined I must be a moron.
Apparently, the coil has a "top piece" that got pulled off with the wire. No idea if this is supposed to happen or not.
I pulled that "top piece" from the end of the plug and pushed it back on the coil until it clicked. Now, the wire looks like a proper spark plug wire... changing should be trivial now.
Took her out for a drive just to make sure I hadn't jacked anything up... all was ok.. so hopefully I didn't break anything
Chalk one up to the n00b.
