Mazsport NGK plugs
The Mazsport website is showing a set of platinum NGK plugs that they say is compatible with the RX-8 at a much cheaper cost compared to the standard OE plugs. Does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks.
The plugs are:

Those are Rx7 plugs. you can get them *cheaply* at ur local autoparts store.
The thing with these plugs is that they fail *faster* than the stock RX8 plugs. I have yet to try them but lots of people said these plugs gives them a couple more horse comprare to stock rx8 plugs.

Most are getting 25k out of the cheaper plug and 35-50k out of the OEM. I remember when I would have to clean and adj gap every 4k on my earliest RX-2(back when there was a big build up of lead on them). I had a tech for Champion Spark plugs try some different plugs, N/C to me. The best plugs and I tried some of the exotic ones too were NGK for all my Rotary cars.

They work very well. I use them in mine, On 12 psi boost, came back from Tampa (Mazsport) use them on track and still working good after 10K KM (montreal)... And let me told you, I've gave them some pressure !

The Professor
dont use them, they are the wrong size for th renesis chamber and will cause a bulge in the housing during repeated heating/cooling.
Also, on a N/A they cause misfires and lost horsepower.
stick with the stock plugs.
