Mm.. New engine...!?

So my car wasn't running right for the last couple months. It ran noticeably slower then usual esp when the engine still cold. From time to time the engine doesn't want to rev in low rpm.

So I took the car to the dealer a month ago and they replaced the starter, battery, and new plugs. Took the car back and it ran better but still not as strong the first day I got it. But I was too busy to go back to the dealer to deal with it.

Then last weekend I was driving home and the car suddenly stalled and the check engine light was flashing. I had to pull over and restart the car, the car ran like crap like it's in limp mode. Luckily I was only a few blocks away from home so I managed to made it back. Then I discovered there's some blue smoke from the exhaust tips.

Anyway, took the car back to the dealer yesterday and just got a call from them that I might need a new engine. They are still checking with the compression and will get back to me tomorrow. I don't abuse my car at all. Just a couple modes on the engine (RB intake and ram). Any idea what caused it? What should I beware of?

Hey RL8, I just had my engined replaced last week - I don't think its a big deal and it seems like its happening a lot because when my dealer told me, he acted as if he had been doing that a lot.

Be glad to have a whole new engine under warranty! Poor mikeb in another thread has 67k miles and is pretty much screwed right now.

My car got 38k miles on it. Yea "fortunately" it's still under warranty. I was going to keep this car, but now I'll probably sell it before the warranty expired.
