motor mounts and engine trouble
hey guys, i have had my 8 in the shop twice now in the past 2 months, everytime i bring it in there say I always have motor mounts broke. I dont know what causes this?? Has anyone else had this problem? Also my 8 just doesnt run like it used to when i first bought it, i sometimes find myself putting it in manual mode on the auto transmission to find power, it seems i cant keep up with traffic up hills or on fourlanes, my 8 is always looking for power. Also when it does have power and the RPMS goes up, it makes a horrible grinding noise and then doesnt want to go. One more thing, i have had it act like it is going to die at red lights, or a bad vibration when stopping. Has anyone else had any of these problems?????? please tell me what steps i need to take next is so.

I'd go to a different dealer if they haven't looked for anything else.
There are too many symptoms to try and tell you much with your description.
The horible grinding sound thing...get it checked out...can't see that being a motor mount....especially in 2 months since they were replaced already?

there are updated motor mounts, that being said, if you're breaking em repatedly something else is wrong, or you're just driving that hard, but i dont really see how.
for the other stuff, sounds like a lack of power issue, we have had a couple cars like that, and the 4206 recall is a great test for it. in this area out of 86ish cars we've done the recall on we've had to replace 2-3 main cats. no engines yet
