my car wont start
hi i have a mazda rx8 2004 and 2 weeks ago i got a problem with it, i didnt want to start and i send it to the dealer and they told me that they got recode it. Tonight, 1 hours ago i went to my car and try to start it and it didnt want to start it looks like the same problem, the car have the click when it start and the belt move, so i know is no the battery can be the codes again, i install an air intake 3 days ago i dont know if that can be the problem, so if any body here had this problem before plz post it here how to fix it, i dont feel like spending 400$ to recode it again, also can u explain me why they got to recode the car again, whati did wrong. thanks you.

could be a couple different issues.. start with plugs and wires because those are the easiest things to get too and if that does not fix your problem then it could be flooded.. if you search the site you'll find many many threads on the rx8 not starting, your just another one added to the long list.

I too have had starting problems X 2 over the past year. Both times were after shuting down before full warm up. The first episode was a dead battery...and now only a year later, it sounds like the same, as the battery just doesn't seem to have the cranking power to start. I followed all the Mazda recommendations on starting to no avail. Hence, the car has been towed again to the dealer. I love this car...I really do, but I have to start thinking about a more reliable car as I can't keep being stranded like this. I have a 2004 automatic with 25, 000 miles on her. The warrenty is running out other then the drive train and engine, so repairs are getting costly. It's too bad, but I am thinking of giving her up.
